Kristen P. Helmick, M.D.

Dr. Helmick joined WVU Charleston’s Internal Medicine department as an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine in July 2014. She completed her residency at Charleston Area Medical Center and then worked as a hospitalist at CAMC for five years where she managed a high volume of acute patient care including diagnosis, treatment and procedures. She then practiced in primary care at a federally qualified health center before beginning her professorship.

Dr. Helmick serves as the Medical Director of WVU Physicians of Charleston Internal Medicine & Subspecialty office and was recently named as Assistant Program Director for the WVU CAMC Internal Medicine Residency.
